New Plan N Set To Compete With Struggling Medicare Advantage Plans

In June of 2010 two new medicare supplement plans will hit the mark
et.  Plan N, and Plan M.  Both of these plans involve some sort of cost sharing and are positioned to specifically target individuals who might be looking at a Medicare Advantage plan.

In the past few month several companies offering Medicare Advantage plans have decided to exit the market leaving thousands of people looking for new coverage.  Many of these people would be a good fit for the new plan N.

In a nutshell, the plan N will include a $20 co-pay for office visits and a $50 co-pay for emergency room visits.  Because of the cost sharing, the premiums will run about 30% less than a traditional plan F.

What this means for you is, if you are healthy and rarely visit the doctor, you could be the same cost benefit as Medicare Advantage plans were designed to provide.  But you are still enrolled in medicare part A and B, so you don't have to completely opt out of your medicare coverage.

If you would like more information about the new plans and how they could help you and your family, please give us a call or fill out our quote request form.  Have a great day!
